A statement from An Post, issued yesterday, said Crosshaven Post Office will close on Friday, May 30.

“People had been drinking, and many of them came into my store, caused trouble, robbed the store because it’s grand — they’ll be on the bus back to the city before the guards arrive."

CONCERNS have been raised among locals in Crosshaven following an influx of people to the picturesque village and surrounding areas in recent days.

Four youths were rescued from Fort Camden by the Crosshaven Coastguard on Wednesday evening.  The Coastguard was out on a routine exercise when their patrol boat was flagged down.
