Organised by the local Save Our Steeple volunteer group, this year’s event will feature performances from Cork musician Billy Kennedy and Slovenian singer Branka Božič as well as her band, which includes two of Slovenia’s finest classical musicians, Vanja Ivanković on flute, and Miha Klemenc on piano.

St Matthew’s Church of Ireland is a former Anglican Church located at the southern edge of Crosshaven. Built between 1778 and 1779, it was a famous navigational landmark, known for its white gable end.

Mr Kennedy and Ms Božič met in 2008 when she was passing through Cork, and was looking to record an album at his studio.

Since then, Kennedy has been a regular in Božič’s band, having recently played the Festival of The Sun in Bosnia-Herzegovia.

Tickets for the event are available for purchase at Centra in Crosshaven or on Eventbrite.
