Following an alleged sexual assault by a 26-year-old man on a girl aged 10 at Garter Lane in Saggart on October 20th, 2025, violent scenes broke out in Citywest, Dublin.

On Friday, gardaí carried out search warrants in south Dublin and arrested three juvenile males as part of this investigation.

The accused, aged 26, who cannot be identified due to the nature of the charge, faced his third hearing on Wednesday when he appeared via video link before Judge Alan Mitchell at Cloverhill District Court.

The man in his 40s was arrested on Sunday, October 26th.

The area saw disorder last week after an alleged sexual assault on a 10-year-old girl in the area.

The two men are currently detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 at garda stations in the Dublin region. 

Protests have been held at the Citywest Hotel for the past four nights, with the disorder breaking out on Tuesday and Wednesday.
