No incidents at Citywest gathering as two men arrested in separate incidents

Two men were arrested for separate public order incidents as a quieter night was reported on Thursday as protests at Citywest continued.

There was a public gathering between 7:00 pm and 10:00 pm in which there were no incidents.

Separately to the public gathering, a man was arrested by gardaí for public order offences at Garters Lane, Saggart, Co. Dublin on Thursday shortly after 11 pm.

He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice at Friday morning.

Earlier in the day, a lone male was arrested for public order offences at Garters Lane, Saggart, Co. Dublin on Thursday at approximately 3:30 pm.

He is due to appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice on Friday morning.

Protests have been held at the Citywest Hotel for the past four nights, with the disorder breaking out on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Protesters have carried Irish flags, chanted anti-immigration slogans and thrown missiles.
