News reporter Donal O’Keeffe won the Best News Series category for his articles on social housing, while Áilín Quinlan was named Columnist of the Year.

The Cork native succeeds Gráinne McGuinness as editor of The Echo and Tom Fitzpatrick as editor of the Irish Examiner.

The Cork Community Media Hub, which is located in Hollyhill, was launched by the Lord Mayor of Cork, Green Party councillor Dan Boyle.

Presented by Derry O’Callaghan, Oldies and Irish is now set to air from 12 to 2pm on Sunday, cutting it two hours shy of its previous 10am start time.

Cork rugby legend Donncha O'Callaghan is set to join Doireann Garrihy and Carl Mullan as part of the new-look 2FM breakfast show line-up. The three-hour, weekday-morning show will get underway from May 31.
