A jury at the Central Criminal Court in Cork last month reached a unanimous verdict, finding Dylan Magee of 30 Churchfield Green, Cork, not guilty of murder but guilty of manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility. 

Miller Pacheco was arraigned on the single count that he murdered Bruna Fonseca on January 1, 2023, contrary to Common Law.

Sergeant John Dineen said that when the motorist was stopped, she admitted that she did not have insurance or a driving licence, but that she had to collect an elderly relative.

He said gardaí were called to the scene of an incident in which it is alleged that Buckley had choked the young woman a number of times, stating: “I will kill you.”

Asked by Judge Mary Dorgan about the alleged value of the drugs, Det Garda O’Mahony said it was a total of €52,000.

"He was again shouting, ‘Get the f*** out of the car’. As he approached the car, he was pepper-sprayed," the court heard.

Based on the 39-year-old mother’s interactions on the phone, gardaí were concerned that she was intoxicated.

A garda detective objected to bail due to the seriousness of the charges.

Kevin White pleaded guilty to charges including causing criminal damage to the property and being so intoxicated that he was a danger to himself or others.

At Cork District Court he was sentenced to one month in prison by Judge Catherine Ryan.

Sergeant John Dineen said: “There was a report from passengers on a train that there was a passenger with a steak knife.”

Garda Paul McCarthy said that at 8.20pm on Sunday, November 2, gardaí responded to a report of a theft of scissor lift that was about to be collected and removed from Patrick’s Quay.

The accused told the court he had been off alcohol for five weeks and previously had been drinking 'every day'

Garda Keith Shire charged with assault causing harm to the woman in the early hours of September 30 at an apartment at Lower Glanmire Road in Cork.

Sergeant Tom Mulcahy told Clonakilty District Court that the incident happened at Burgatia, Rosscarbery on the N71 road at 5pm on May 3, 2025.

The court was told that Kelly had 11 previous convictions including one for possession of drugs and he had also been given the benefit of the Probation Act for possession on two occasions.

Court presenter Sergeant Tom Mulcahy said that a car was stopped on Main Street, Dunmanway Co. Cork on March 23, 2025 at 5.25pm.

The case was adjourned until February 5 for the defence to indicate if a plea of guilty or not guilty was being entered.

Detective Garda Paul Cullen gave evidence of the attack on the young woman and on her daughter who were falsely imprisoned at their home during the attack at around 5am on January 12.

It was alleged that on November 25, a search warrant was executed at the residence at Knocknamallavoge, Spur Hill, Cork.

Judge Joanne Carroll convicted Barrett of driving without insurance and fined him €175 which was paid in court. The no tax charge was struck out.

The women selected a number of bottles of perfume with a total value of €506.40 and concealed them within their clothing and then left the premises without making any attempt to pay for the items.

Lowes admitted causing the accident and was also found to be driving without a valid NCT, insurance, or driving licence.

The jury took 11 hours and 55 minutes to reach unanimous guilty verdicts on three counts of rape, one of oral rape, two of sexual assault and one count of exploitation of a child for the purpose of sexual activity.

Solicitor Diarmuid Kelleher said the accused was entering a not guilty plea.
