AUL hand out end of year awards to various players and clubs

The following recipients received their accolades for season 2025-26 at the Cork AUL awards night held in the Heineken Ireland’s hospitality premises recently.
Guiding his side towards winning the Premiership, AOH Cup, Keane Jeweler Champions Cup and Mossie Linnane cup, Donal, along with his management staff, swept the board in AUL football and beyond.
Keeping a star-studded squad unified and motivated, Donal delivered a masterclass in leadership while achieving all the significant amount of success over the season.
Donal was a well-deserved recipient once again for the Cork AUL Manager of the year award for 2025-26.

After winning the Keane Jeweler Champions Cup, AOH Cup, Premier league and Mossie Linnane Cup, it certainly was an easy choice to make when picking the Cork AUL team of the year for 2025-26.
This group of players have already cemented their status as a historically elite side and one of the best that the Cork AUL has ever had on their books since its inception.
They dominated the league from start to finish and fully deserved this accolade for 2025-26.
Getting the nod for the Player of the year award was Coachford’s ace striker Luke Casey.
It was another mesmerizing campaign for Luke as he proved on many occasions to be a thorn in the sides of opposing defenders throughout the season.
Luke once again demonstrated how he could turn games on their heads with moments of pure individual genius and was an obvious choice for the AUL Player of the year for 2025-26.

Capable of scoring from any angle or distance, Coachford’s Luke Casey stood out as the top striker in the Premier \ Premier A leagues over 2025-26.
His relentless hunger for the back of the net, not only secured him the Golden Boot award, but also provided the decisive firepower which propelled his team to ultimate glory.
Luke proved to be unstoppable throughout the campaign and was certainly a worthy Golden Boot winner in the Premier \ Premier A sections for 2025-26.
Kyle O’Callaghan (Cathedral Celtic) Cathedral Celtic’s Kyle O’Callaghan dominated the League 1, 2 and 3 leagues scoring charts after netting a staggering 54 goals over the season.
Whether he was unleashing a ferocious, unstoppable effort from the edge of the D, delicately chipping an onrushing goalkeeper, or bulleting a header home from a corner, his ruthless efficiency in front of goal turned him into a nightmare for every opposing defence.
Congratulations to Kyle for this wonderful achievement.

Getting the nod for the AUL Referee of the year award was Paul Bowdren whose consistency with important decision making, made him an easy choice for the Referee of the year accolade.
Once again, Paul delivered a masterclass in match officiating throughout the season.
Paul was a deserving winner of this accolade for season 2025-26.
A big Congratulations was made also on the night to Waterloo FC after receiving a special award for their massive achievements after winning the League 1 championship, the County Cup and the St. Michael’s Cup.
It was almost a flawless campaign for this Waterloo side which in the end, brought them towards completing what was a historic season.

Receiving the Fair play award was Los Zarcos B who proved to be a role model for teams at every level of the sport.
