Celtic reserved their best performance of the season in the live game of the week at The Regional Park.
After Daniel Brazil opened the scoring for Council in the 26th minute, a long clearance by goalkeeper Darragh Murphy was flicked on by Michael Daly for Donncha McDonnell to get in ahead of advancing Council keeper Colin Galvin to equalise 10 minutes later.
A fine second-half performance yielded further goals from centre-forward Rob White and Jack Goulding.
