Midleton go top of the Daly Industrial Supplies U17 Premier League table with big victory over Leeds

Midleton moved three points ahead in the Daly Industrial Supplies U17 Premier League table with a 6-1 victory over Leeds at Knockgriffin Park last Saturday night.
They took the lead 1-0 in the 36th minute through Patrick Adedokun and doubled their lead just before halftime when Charlie McCarthy was on target for them to lead 2-0.
The Magpies increased their lead 3-1 in the 60th minute when Ronan Mackessy netted from them and then Cillian Mansworth and Eduard Pidoyma added goals for them to lead 5-0.
The Magpies finished the game with Mansworth converting from them penalty spot in the 80th minute to win 6-1.
They will be eager to extending their lead at the top of the table when they entertain Kinsale at Knockgriffin Park tomorrow evening at 7.30pm.
However, this won’t be a easy task as Kinsale are in really good form at this present of time and they showed that last weekend when they beat a good Carrigaline United side 5-0 at Madden Park with their goals coming from Ollie Ahern (2), Leon Griffin, Sean O’Driscoll and Dylan Cremen.
In the same Division, Passage caused the biggest shock of last weekend when they beat table topper’s College Corinthians by five goals to one at Castletreasure with Rhys Looney helping himself to a hat-trick and Lee O’Maher-O’Donovan adding a brace.
Passage are in action again tomorrow when they entertain Kinsale clash with St Mary’s and they will want to continue their recent good form to climb the league table.

Corinthians have to travel to Moneygourney tomorrow at 1-30pm for a game against unbeaten Douglas Hall and they will need to be at their very best if they are to take anything out of this all important fixture.
U17 Premier sides Youghal United and St Mary’s played out an exciting 3-3 draw at Ardath Park last Saturday.
The Saints went into an early 2-0 lead with two Callum Murphy goals, however, Youghal responded with two goals in six minutes from Alex Fogarty and Harvey Smith to level the game.
The Saints restored their advantage 3-2 when Fogarty added his second of the game in the 37th minute, however, Youghal levelled the game again 3-3 two minutes later through Lee Hendley.
After a pulsating first half both sides had chances to take all three points, but they had to settle for a share of the spoils.
Youghal are back in action tomorrow when they welcome Leeds to Ardath Park for a kickoff at 11am.
Blarney United were involved in a triller last Saturday evening at O’Shea Park, when they beat Leeside United 3-2 to go top of the U17 League 1 Division.
Blarney went 2-0 up with two first half goals from Ruaire Linehan and Adam O’Mahony. Leeside levelled the game 2-2 with a Dave O’Leary brace in the 53rd and 60th minute, however, Mathew Barry broke their hearts when he struck in the 81st minute to seal all three points for Blarney.
Also in the same Division, Avondale United moved into third place in the league table with a 3-1 victory against Mallow United at Avondale Park. Patrick O’Sullivan gave them the lead 1-0 in the 50th minute and they doubled their lead 2-0 through Evan Minihane in the 74th minute.
Ronan O’Grady increased Avondale’s lead 3-0 in the 84th, with Aaron Stokes grabbing a consolation goal two minutes later for Mallow.
Avondale have another home game tomorrow morning when they welcome Springfield Ramblers to Avondale Park at 10.30am.pñ
