MTU Cork will look to retain their title tomorrow night when they face DCU in the All-Ireland Junior Hurling final at MTU Cork with throw-in at 7.30pm.
It’s a repeat pairing of the decider of 12 months ago on what should be a poignant night on Leeside.
The trophy has been renamed after the late Darragh McCarthy, who passed away unexpectedly one year ago today.

The Midleton man was a key player in MTU Cork winning the title in 2025 with a good core of players still around for this campaign.
The Cork side won two of their three group games to qualify for the knockout stages this season. They beat University of Limerick and ATU Galway. Sandwiched between those games was a narrow loss to University of Galway.
In the quarter-final of the competition, they got the better of UCD before edging out Mary Immaculate College in the last four.
MTU Cork have had to do it the hard way in terms of reaching this final given they played those previous two knockout encounters away from home.
The team has joint captains in Darragh King and Rob Ring.
Luke Keating and Eoin O’Donovan have been regular scorers for MTU Cork in the games this season.
The manager is Robin Murray with Tom Harrington, Eoghan O’Connor, Jack Mulcahy and Diarmuid Cotter selectors with Jim O’Sullivan the coach.
