With the Castlelyons-Bride Rovers showdown reaching its conclusion last Saturday, as Rovers clawed their way back from the brink to nail 1-4 unanswered and seal promotion to the PSHC, the top three tiers finally clicked to a close.

It means now that the scoring charts are settled, the sharpshooters have been marked, and the tables won’t be moving again.

No surprise at the summit of the Premier Senior list, Cork legend Patrick Horgan finishing the campaign with 5-39.

Behind him, Ben Cunningham and Conor Lehane complete the podium, while Colm McCarthy’s eight-point contribution on final day nudged him into fourth, a late sprint past Robbie O’Flynn.

From play, Jack O’Connor stands alone there – 1-27 from play, while Conor Lenihan, Matthew Bradley and Michael O’Halloran all tied for second place. James Sweeney’s brace of goals in the county final catapulted him from outside the frame to seventh.

In Senior A, the duel stretched across two days before Bride Rovers finally cracked Castlelyons. That extra stage time mattered: Adam Walsh climbed above everyone to finish with 2-42, just four clear of Alan Fenton and five ahead of Mark Coleman.

Anthony Spillane, Brian Roche, David Morrison, all made their moves as the curtain closed, with Roche’s 4-18 from play standing as the grade’s cleanest return.

Down the ladder in Premier Intermediate, Ballinhassig’s Ger Collins ruled the top with 4-38, but the late-season surge belonged to Ballincollig’s Stephen Wills, up from eighth to second after the final having missed the quarter-final and semi through injury, while teammate Brian Keating went from sixth to joint fourth.

Keating also finished second in the from play chart, tied with Diarmuid Healy. Both finished a point shy of Dungourney’s Jack Leahy, who takes the crown.
