Kate O'Connor begins heptathlon bid as busy day awaits Team Ireland

The women's heptathlon, featuring Kate O'Connor, gets underway at the European Athletics Championships in Birmingham on Friday morning.
O'Connor lines up for the 100 metres hurdles at 10:35am, before she takes part in the high jump at 11:25am.
The men's and women's 4x400 metres relay teams are in first-round action after 11am.
Elsewhere, Andrew Coscoran and Cathal Doyle are in the first round of the men's 1,500 metres from 12:05pm.
Team Ireland is still basking in the glory of last night's medal success, with Mark English taking gold in the men's 800m and Rashidat Adeleke taking silver in the women's 200m. English became the first Irishman to win an individual gold at the European Outdoor Championships.
Ireland will also have medal contenders in the swimming pool, with Mona McSharry and Ellie McCartney both contesting tonight's women's 200 metres breaststroke final at the European Aquatics Championships in Paris.
McSharry won her semi-final, while a fifth-placed finish was enough to seal progression for McCartney.
Rosalie Phelan is the first member of Team Ireland to take to the pool this morning.
She's in the women's 50 metres freestyles heats from 9:30am.
Adam Bradey, Eoin Corby, Darragh Greene and Jack Kelly will be hoping to qualify from their heats in the men's 50-metre breaststroke.
Grace Davison, Lottie Cullen and Danielle Hill feature in the women's 100 metres backstroke.
Liam Custer and Jack Cassin are in the men's 200 metres butterfly, while Ellie McCartney and Ellen Walshe are in the heats for the women's 200 metres individual medley, and Daniel and Nathan Wiffen are both set to enter the men's 1500 metres freestyle heats.
