Cocaine seized as up to 40 gardaí engaged in drugs search in Cork's Hollyhill this morning

Up to 40 gardaí, including members of the Armed Support Unit, took part in a search operation in Hollyhill this morning.
A quantity of drugs, believed to be cocaine, was seized during the operation.
The suspected drugs were recovered in two separate packages, one of which was found on communal ground near the housing complex.
A quantity of cash was also seized.
The operation began at approximately 7.45am and concluded shortly after 11am.
It is understood the search formed part of an investigation into the sale and supply of cocaine in Cork city.
The ISPCA was called to retrieve animals reported to be in a state of serious neglect.
A second drugs search was also carried out at a house on Cork city's southside, near Evergreen Road.
Drugs were also seized during the second search operation.
