A total of 158,902 people in Cork city are registered to vote in the upcoming local elections – an increase of approximately 10,000 electors since last year.

Ahead of Friday’s elections, Cork City Council has advised voters that some polling station changes have been made since the last electoral event in March.

Ahead of Friday’s elections, Cork City Council has advised voters that some polling station changes have been made since the last electoral event in March.

The changes have been included in the polling information cards already sent to electors.

However, for those who are registered but haven’t received a polling card the changes are as follows:

Electors in the city who used to vote at Saint Mary’s School, Oldcourt, Rochestown are now directed to Scoil Phádraig Naofa, Foxwood, Rochestown (T12 HX79).

City electors who used go to booth five and six in Ovens National School are now directed to Scoil Mhuire Ballincollig booths four and five (P31N265).

Cork County Council will continue to use Ovens National School for their elections.

A total of 158,902 people in Cork city are registered to vote in the upcoming local elections – an increase of approximately 10,000 electors since last year.

Polling cards are issued for information purposes only and are not required to vote.

All electors should bring some form of ID with them to their polling station as they may be required to prove evidence of identity.

Polling stations will be open from 7am to 10pm.
