Located airside at Cork Airport, CRAFT features a completely renovated bar counter and seating area, along with a dedicated restaurant area with seating to accommodate 150 customers at any given time.

Cork Airport is gearing up for one of its busiest weeks as tens of thousands of people travel to and from the facility throughout this St Patrick’s bank holiday weekend.

The recently launched feature will allow customers making bookings on the Iarnród Éireann website to add a transfer from Kent Station to Cork Airport, using the 225 and 226 routes with Bus Éireann.

Figures released earlier this week show that Cork Airport remains the fastest-growing airport in Ireland, with 7% more passengers in January compared to the same month last year.

Kenny Jacobs, CEO of daa, which operates both Cork Airport and Dublin Airport, told The Echo: “The plan is still to demolish the old terminal. I think that will happen in 2026, as part of our wider plan."

“I’m from Cork myself, I know, as Corkonians, we all want to get one over on Dublin — but Dublin Airport is Ireland’s airport, so we should think nationally on this."

There will be 33 routes out of Cork Airport this summer.

The number of passengers through Dublin’s terminals was -1 per cent lower than in January 2024 due to the impact of the 32 million passenger cap.

Passenger traffic is also forecast to be 10% higher than it was for the same bank holiday weekend of 2024.
