Air France has confirmed that it will operate its popular Cork – Paris Charles de Gaulle service on a year-round basis from October.

The French flag-carrier will provide a direct service between Ireland’s fastest-growing airport and its major hub up to four times a week during the winter months.

Air France has operated to and from Cork Airport since 2018, providing a seasonal daily service to Paris Charles de Gaulle.

A spokesperson said: "Today’s news of a year-round service consolidates the excellent access to the French capital along with onward connectivity to over 180 destinations across the wider Air France worldwide network.

"When combined with the network of KLM and Transavia, Air France customers flying from Cork can reach over 320 destinations across the globe."

General manager of Air France-KLM (UK & Ireland), said: “We are delighted to extend our Cork–Paris service throughout the year. Our flights enable local customers and businesses to access our global network while boosting inbound traffic and tourism. We are pleased to have worked closely with Cork Airport to make this possible and look forward to a continued collaboration in the future.”

Tara Finn, Head of Aviation Business Development and communications at Cork Airport welcomed the announcement of the year-round service by Air France saying: “Air France is one of our valued airline partners and the announcement of a year-round Cork – Paris Charles de Gaulle service is simply tremendous news.

"With a year-round connection to Europe’s third-busiest airport, it significantly improves the long-haul, onward connectivity for our customers across the South of Ireland.

"Air France’ operations at Cork Airport have grown from strength to strength in the past number of years and I thank the Air France-KLM team for their continued support in enhancing connectivity at Ireland’s fastest-growing airport.”

The year round service begins on October 26.
