Padraig Potts, Cork Arts Theatre, 8pm: This coming-of-age play, set in rural Ireland, just might break your heart. Filled with the colour and humour we’ve come to expect from Seamus O’Rourke, he is joined on stage by a chorus of characters that have enchanted his past. Tickets €20.

National Youth Orchestra of Ireland Summer Proms, Cork Opera House, 7.30pm: 100-strong orchestra featuring the country’s finest young musicians put on a spectacular evening of music under conductor Ruth Reinhardt. Tickets €25.

NoNameTrio & The Rolling Wave, Cobh Trad Fest 2025, Commodore Hotel, 8pm: NoNameTrio have a bold, progressive take on Irish folk. The Rolling Wave, dynamic duo Stephen O’Dea and Abby Ní Loingsigh, blend lively Irish drinking songs, Gaelic laments, and modern takes. Tickets €11.70.
