Reach For The Stars, by the AJ School Of Dance, Cork Opera House, 4pm, €28: A spectacular journey through the magical world of feelgood Disney movie classics by the talented children of the AJ School of dance, formed in 2017, which has classes in Macroom and Dunmanway.

Sunday

The Story, Glen Theatre, Banteer, 8pm, €15: Written and performed by Timmy O’Mahony. Tom Walsh watches over the world from the comfort of his bedroom in his parents’ house, on Cork city’s Northside. But when his best friend goes missing, Tom is forced to venture outside in search of the truth.

The Piano Man, Everyman, 8pm, €31: A great night is promised, as John Forde and the 52nd Street Band present a spectacular live show that will transport you into the legendary worlds of two of the greatest music icons of all time: Elton John and Billy Joel.

A Grand Night For Singing, Cork Arts Theatre, 2.30pm & 7.30pm, €15: Courtesy of Montfort College of Performing Arts. From the bright lights of Broadway to the magic of the West End, enjoy a wide and varied repertoire of musical theatre favourites from talented vocal students.

Anthony Pappa, The Kino, Washington St, Cork city, 9pm-2am: Pappa brings 40 years of experience to the DJ craft.

Bandon Concert Band Annual Concert, The Munster Arms, Bandon, 8pm, €20: Bandon Concert Band, a brass and woodwind ensemble, will be joined by Skibbereen’s St Fachtna’s Silver Band. This years theme is musical postcards – a musical journey around the world.

The Freedom Experience, Cyprus Avenue, 11pm, €10-15: A high-energy night of music, culture and good vibes - designed to bring people together and keep the dance floor alive.

Sunday

Finbar Wright, Cork Opera House, 8pm, €39: This wonderfully romantic singer will be joined by uilleann piper Ronan Browne.

The Legends Of American Country Show, 8pm, €33: Award-winning tribute show with well-loved numbers from stars like Dolly Parton, Johnny Cash, Don Williams, Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Tammy Wynette, and Kenny Rogers.

The Voyage Music Inspired By The Sea with West Cork Choral Singers, St Brendan’s Church, Bantry, 7.30pm, €10-20: A mixed programme. Full of treasures and curiosities, laments and longings, wanderings and wonderments.

Twinless (2pm) and Sirat (4pm), Triskel Arts Centre, Cork city, €7-8: Two films - the first a dark comedy, the second an Oscar-nominated thriller.
