ISF BALLYPHEHANE Celtic were presented with the Fred Hickey First Division championship trophy at Ma Dullea’s, Tower Street, last Saturday evening.

James Corcoran’s charges when through the campaign unbeaten, racking up an impressive 16 wins and only dropping four points courtesy of two draws.

Celtic also were the league’s top scorers and conceded less than any team in the three divisions.

Goalkeeper Jamie O’Sullivan and central defender Ollie O’Callaghan both stand on the cusp of a unique feat.

Should Celtic win the divisional cup they will become the first players to win a double treble with two different clubs having already tasted success win DHF Grangevale, who won the division one league and cup as well as the shield competition in 2024/25.

Abbey Business 1

Marlboro Trust 1

Long-serving Marlboro Trust but in a typical gritty and competitive performance to preserve their second tier status following a one-one draw with promoted Abbey Business at Corinthian’s Park last Saturday afternoon.

After Philip Horan set up top scorer John McLoughlin to give the hosts a 40th minute lead, a long clearance from defence was defiantly won by Hassan Salad Mumin who outmuscled his opponent before sliding the ball past Timothy Connolly with nineteen minutes remaining.

The visitors went into the contest mourning the tragic passing of former player Alan Walsh and were duly motived to turn in one of their best performances of the season.

Jay Bazz Barbers 2

Here’s Health 4

A brace from Jack Murphy inside three first half minute before the half hour mark sent the visitors into the interval two to the good.

The Barbers fought back to draw level through Jordan Cambridge and Edward Madigan before Murphy and Levent Arslan struck late to seal all three points.

Grandon’s Toyota Premier Division:

Helio Inter Cork 1

DoMA Giants 1

Champions Helio Inter Cork completed their match programme by being held to a draw by DoMA Giants, one of only three teams to have beaten them in the course of the season.

After Joao Martins opened the scoring in the 41st minute at Mayfield Park last Saturday afternoon, Adriano equalized for the visitors midways through the second half.

Afterwards, the hosts were presented with the premier division trophy by the CBL presentation team of Peter Travers, Joe Murphy and Gavin Woods.

Martin Harvey Solicitors 0

DHF Grangevale 5

MHS and Grangevale squared up for the fourth time this season with Harvey’s ahead on the head to head, 2-1, having coming out on top in the shield and league at Mayfield Park with the Vale having won their first league meeting at Ringmahon Park.

The visitors enjoyed the bulk of the chances in the opening half and went in front in front through Luke Dennehy in the 32nd minute.

However, it took a top class save from Vale keeper Robert Osbourne, diving high to his right, to claw away a marvellous strike from Tomás Sheehan in the run in to half time.

After Aaron O’Sullivan set up Mark O’Connell for a second in the 49th minute, the visitor’s speed up front yielded further goals from O’Connell, Denys Marchenko and a last minute strike from sub Jacob Moleli.

The margin of victory didn’t reflect Harvey’s’ performance on the day.

Grandon’s Toyota Second Division:

Aaron Keohane justified his call up to Diarmuid O’Neill and John O’Connell’s Oscar Trayor Trophy panel last Saturday afternoon.

The highlight of Pfizer’s win over the Tigers in the late Sunday evening kick-off at Leeside Park was a hat-trick from Gianluca Zuccarelli.

Further goals Syl Byrne (2), Sean Buckley, Timothy Healy, Alex Farrell and Anshul Nama completed the scoring.

Grandon’s Toyota Shandon Second Division Cup:

AI FC 5

FR Valley Rangers 0
