Cobh Ramblers have announced the appointment of Fran Rockett as the men's senior team head coach.

Fran is no stranger to St Colman’s Park, having previously been involved with the club in a variety of coaching capacities.

He brings a wealth of League of Ireland experience and a deep understanding of the game, having worked with several clubs across both the Premier and First Divisions in recent years.

Known for his strong coaching philosophy, professionalism, and commitment to player development, Fran has earned widespread respect within Irish football circles.

His familiarity with the club’s culture and ambitions makes him an ideal fit as Cobh Ramblers continue to build a sustainable and competitive football model both on and off the pitch.

Speaking on the appointment, Ilya Movshovich of Digital Athlete Ventures said they believe they have appointed the right man to lead Cobh into a new era.

“We are thrilled to welcome Fran back to Cobh Ramblers," Ilya Movshovich said.

"His knowledge, experience, and passion for the club make him the right person to lead our senior team forward.

"We believe Fran is an excellent fit for where we are headed as a club — focused on building strong foundations, developing players, and achieving long-term success.”

Conor Meade, recently appointed Cobh Ramblers Director of Football is thrilled to have Fran lead the team into the 2026 campaign.

"I’m delighted to announce Fran as head coach," Conor Meade said.

"He eats, sleeps, and breathes football and will represent the club with energy and honesty.

"It’s an exciting appointment, and we as a club will do all we can to help him.”

Cobh Ramblers FC would like to extend a warm welcome to Fran and wish him every success in his new role.

The club are hoping to get back in the Premier Division in 2026, having finished second behind Dundalk in the league table this season, but lost out in the play-off semi final against Treaty United.
