Ballincollig GAA club is gearing up for the Lip Sync Legends fundraiser.
After a hectic season on the field, which included Premier Intermediate camogie success, underage county titles at U14 and minor, the footballers reaching their fifth ever senior semi-final and the hurlers making the Premier Intermediate decider, the event in the Rochestown Park Hotel brings all the strands of the club together.
It takes place on Friday, November 14 with a host of well-known players, mentors and committee members from Ballincollig GAA club taking part.
There are over 50 participants, performing in 13 acts as iconic music legends like Freddie Mercury, Spice Girls, ABBA and Westlife.

They've been hard at work each week preparing to impress and the community has gotten behind the event as senior section chairman John Oldham explained.
"A huge effort is going on behind the scenes to get sponsorship and make this fundraiser a major success. We've fantastic playing numbers in Ballincollig across the board but with that comes great cost as well.
"This is the ideal way to generate funds for the club but also for everyone to have a great time and enjoy themselves. We've a big push now across the next two weeks to get ready and we're very grateful to the all the local businesses and club members who have helped us so far."

Among those involved are Cian Dorgan, Lyke Fahy, David O'Leary, Ben O'Connell, Fenton Denny, while club chairman Donie Hannigan is leading a group performing Bon Jovi, very topical as they just announced a comeback show in Croke Park next year.
