HSE South West is holding monthly free information sessions this summer, with a chartered physiotherapist at Bandon Primary Care Centre targeted at people suffering from back pain.

The information sessions take place on the last Thursday of the month at the physio department at the Bandon Primary Care Centre from 12 noon until 1pm.

Advice will be provided to attendees on how to best manage both sudden acute and persistent lower back pain.

Liz O’Sullivan, HSE South West physiotherapy manager said that 80% of people experience back pain at some point in their lives and “it is one of the leading causes of sickness absence in Ireland”.

The next sessions take place on Thursday, June 25, and Thursday, July 30, both running from noon until 1pm.
