A man has been taken to hospital following a collision in Cork this morning.

The incident, involving two vehicles, occurred at approximately 8am on the N71 at the Halfway Roundabout.

Following the incident, the man, aged in his 50s, was conveyed to hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

A Garda spokesperson has confirmed that the road has since been cleared and is open to traffic.

An investigation is now ongoing.
