Nine vehicles were seized in Cork this morning as part of a routine checkpoint.
Gardaí from the Cork City Divisional Roads Policing Unit, along with local units, performed a large M.I.T (mandatory alcohol/intoxicant testing) checkpoint in Ringaskiddy today, targeting drug driving.
As a result of the checkpoint, nine vehicles were seized for various offences, including several motorists that turned to avoid Garda attention.
In a post shared on social media, Gardaí confirmed that while several vehicles were seized, no detections were made for intoxicated driving.
