Two Cork men accused of assault and production of a slash-hook

Two men accused of assaulting another man and production of a slash-hook during the alleged incident in January 2022 had the cases against them put back until November 3.
Sergeant Liam Lingane formally arrested the two accused for the purpose of charging.
They were both released on bail until next month at Cork District Court to allow time for preparation and service of a book of evidence.
Trevor O’Brien, aged 47, of 16 Meadow Walk, The Meadows, Hollyhill, Cork, is charged with assault causing harm to another man and production of a slash-hook during an incident on January 28 2022 at Meadow Walk.
Jamie O’Brien, aged 24, of the same address is accused of assault causing harm to the same man and producing a slash-hook in the course of the same alleged incident.
On the application of Sergeant John Dineen, Judge John King remanded the two accused on bail after the DPP decided that the cases should proceed by indictment at Cork Circuit Criminal Court.
