Cork residents have been alerted to potential flooding as a status yellow rainfall warning has been issued by Met Éireann.
The warning, in place for Cork, Kerry, Limerick, Galway and Clare, came into effect just after 10.30am and is expected to remain in place until 12pm tomorrow.
According to Met Éireann, there will be “heavy rain” at times today for all of Kerry and for western parts of Cork, Limerick, Clare and Galway.

Potential impacts could include localised flooding, poor visibility and difficult travelling conditions, the national forecaster said.
The latest outlook for Munster forecasts continued rain and drizzle today, which could turn heavy at times leading to localised flooding.
Rain and drizzle will continue tonight and be heavy at times, especially in parts of the west and southwest.
Patches of mist and fog may also develop overnight.
Tomorrow is expected to be mostly cloudy with some further outbreaks of rain.
Some heavy falls are possible early in the day with the chance of some spot flooding, however, the rain will clear to showers during the afternoon.
According to the national outlook, next week will be “unsettled and fairly cool”, with further spells of rain or showers.
