Kittens dumped from moving van in Cork: Incident blasted as 'despicable act of cruelty'

TWO kittens were dumped from a moving van in west Cork

The kittens were seen being dumped from a maroon coloured van on the Bandon bypass, near the local convent.

One of the kittens died after being hit by traffic but the whereabouts of the second kitten is unknown.

The case, which occurred on Christmas Eve, was highlighted on social media by the West Cork Animal Welfare Group.

The group described the incident as a "despicable act of cruelty".

On its Facebook page, the group added: "It's just heartbreaking to think anyone would do this."

A spokeswoman for the Cork Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals said no animals had been brought to the society, which were unwanted Christmas gifts.
