Sunday’s Allianz Hurling League Division 1A opener against Waterford will be one of three Cork matches covered by TG4 this spring.

Since 1999, the station has been showing national league games and this year’s schedule will feature more than 45 live offerings across hurling and football, up to and including all divisional finals.

Once again, the final round of the football leagues on March 22 will see the popular ‘Super Sunday’ broadcast, with multi-screen updates from all of the games in Divisions 1 and 2. The previous day, there will also be a ‘Super Saturday’ for the conclusion of the regular stage of the hurling leagues.

First up this weekend is the Division 1 football clash between Dublin and Donegal on Saturday night, with Sunday seeing Galway take on Mayo at 1.45pm, followed by Cork’s meeting with Waterford at 3.45pm. The Kerry-Roscommon game will be live on the TG4 Player and then shown in its entirety on television at 5.30pm.

Next Saturday week, January 31, Cork’s second hurling league game away to Galway will be shown, with action starting at 7pm, while the third such fixture to be guaranteed live coverage will be the trip to Kilkenny on Sunday, March 1. That clash at UPMC Nowlan Park has a 3.15pm throw-in time.

In addition to the live games, GAA 2026 airs every Monday night at 8pm on TG4 throughout the leagues, bringing viewers a comprehensive highlights programme that ensures no key moment is missed. The show will feature highlights of important fixtures from across the country, offering a rounded view of the weekend’s action. In addition, GAA 2026 will include additional interview material from league fixtures, highlights of the Lidl Ladies’ NFL and under-age and third-level GAA highlights.

Saturday, January 31: Galway v Cork, Pease Stadium, 7pm
