Cork weather: Rain warning issued and strong winds forecast

Met Éireann has issued a status yellow rain warning for Cork and Kerry, coming into effect in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
The forecaster has warned of spells of heavy rain, coupled with strong and gusty east to southeast winds, leading to localised flooding and difficult travelling conditions.
The warning will come into effect from 2am and is due to remain in place until 8am.
A status yellow gale warning from Malin Head to Carnsore Point to Erris Head and on the Irish Sea will also come into effect from midnight until midnight on Wednesday.
Met Éireann has said that those using the indicated waterways should be aware that East to southeast winds will reach gale force 8 at times.
Additionally, a small craft warning for all coasts of Ireland will also come into place at 9pm and will remain in effect until midnight on Wednesday, as East to southeast winds will reach force 6 or higher.
