Natasha came to Ireland in 2017 as a 4th year student to do her degree in Early Childhood at the IT Tralee (MTU Tralee). She said: “I met the love of my life only four weeks after arriving in Ireland, at a bar called Hennessy’s Bar in Tralee. My future husband was there with a friend and decided to start a chat with me at my table.”

The couple moved to Cork in 2018, Farrell is a clerical officer and Natasha is an educator.

They got engaged during the Covid pandemic, on Sunday March 21, 2021, under the guise of ‘having a picnic’ at Blackrock Castle, when Farrell popped the question.

They were married on a summer’s day at Hag’s Head, Cliffs of Moher, followed by a reception in The Falls Hotel & Spa, Ennistymon.

The bride got her dress from Sophia Tolli, Brooklyn, in Cinderella’s Closet in Cork. Shoes were from a store in Malaysia called Pazzion. Accessories were gifted from her mom. The groom wore a suit by Torre Uomo of Morley’s, Cork.

The bride’s make-up was by Miss Mercy Makeup Artistry of Galway. Hair was by Cathleen from Cat’s Mobile Hairdressing. Wedding Flowers were by Helen Hopkins. Officiating at the ceremony was John Murphy. Brenda Grealis was the harpist and John Murphy the saxophonist during their cocktail hour.

Attending the special day were the bride’s parents, Carol and George, brother Nathan, cousin Reuben and his wife Michelle. Also present were her uncle from the UK, Guna, his wife, Joan, and cousin, Josh.

Farrell’s parents, Oonagh and Anthony, and his siblings, Erin, Anton and Suzan, attended, along with their partners, Mathew and Maria. Also joining them were his uncles, John and Charles, and aunties, Joanne and Maureen.

Suzan was the bridesmaid while Michelle was matron of honour.

Photographers were Brendan McCarthy and Ana Tavares (Love it Visuals).

As to the most memorable part of the day?

The bride said: “We exchanged our vows in the rain at the Cliffs of Moher and we wouldn’t have it any other way. We had a back-up indoor venue but it didn’t start raining until I started to walk towards the cliff to be with my husband. We tried to stay dry but eventually gave up and embraced the chaos!”

Their first song was (I love You) For Sentimental Reasons, by Nat King Cole.
