John and Francis Brennan return in At Your Service on RTÉ1 on Sunday

The world of hotels may base its business model on the ethos of ‘here today, gone tomorrow’ - but nobody could accuse brothers Francis and John Brennan of being fly-by-nights.

The hoteliers return for a new series of their long-running show At Your Service this weekend, and the run will chalk up a landmark 100th episode for the duo.

The new series, starting on RTÉ1 on Sunday at 6.30pm, will see the Kerry brothers once again help out new and struggling hospitality businesses with their expertise.

In this run, they will advise a grieving mother and daughter in Shanbally, Co Tipperary, who are trying to find the best way forward for their country house, in a way that honours the memory and ambitions of their late husband and father.

The Brennan brothers also get buckled up for a bumpy journey with a car salesman who’s moved into the fast track of hospitality.

He’s purchased a heritage building in Cappoquin, Co Waterford, but this old building has a nasty surprise in store.

And the Brennans also help a family who own a struggling pub and restaurant in Omeath, Co Louth, who are planning luxury lodges.

But will these make the most of the big business opportunities offered by a new greenway and major road bridge being built nearby?

However, in the first episode, John and Francis will remain in their Munster heartland and head to Hill House in Cashel, Co Tipperary.

And in a remarkable first for At Your Service, the Brennans advise a hospitality business to close down!

They have been called in to Hill House by Ray and Veronica Vere Hunt, dairy farmers who are diversifying to protect their family’s future income. They are renovating a Georgian country house, aiming to create a high-end, boutique B&B.

All is going well before a devastating fire causes havoc, there’s a huge delay and enormous stress.

After a rush to open, the Brennans aren’t happy, they tell the couple to close and stay closed until everything is properly finished.

It’s tough love from the Brennans – but how will Veronica and Ray respond?
