The body of the man who was aged in his 60s was taken to Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, where a post-mortem was carried out.

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses as they investigate the death of a man in his 60s in Co Cavan.

His body was found at a house in Kilmore Estate, Ballyjamesduff, last Saturday, August 15th.

The man's body was removed to a mortuary at Our Lady's Hospital in Navan, Co Meath, where a post-mortem was carried out.

The house was subsequently cordoned off to allow for a technical examination as part of the investigation.

Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the Kilmore Estate in Ballyjamesduff between 6pm and midnight last Saturday to contact Bailieborough Garda Station on 042 969 4570, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111, or any Garda station.
