A Cavan man who is accused of murdering his mother and attempting to murder his father will go on trial at the Central Criminal Court in Dublin in April.

Danny Heyneman (32), with an address at Kilnavart, Ballyconnell in Co Cavan, is charged with the murder of Annie Heyneman and the attempted murder of Henk Heyneman at the family home in Kilnavart on January 11th, 2025.

The matter is listed for trial on April 13th next, with a mention date in the Central Criminal Court on February 18th.
