Gardaí in Blanchardstown have arrested a man in relation to an investigation into alleged child cruelty and unlawful medical practices.

On Tuesday, a man was arrested and detained under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984.

The man has been charged with an offence contrary to the Medical Practitioners Act, 2007, and will appear before the Criminal Courts of Justice today.

As this matter is now before the courts, An Garda Síochána said they cannot make any further comment.
