Four people have been rushed to hospital following the two vehicle crash in West Donegal.

The two-car collision happened earlier on Friday on the N56 between Loughanure and Dungloe.

It is understood there were four people in one car and another person in the second car.

The road has been closed and diversions are in place.

A number of emergency vehicles are at the scene of the incident.

The condition of those taken to hospital is not yet known.
