Garda Commissioner Drew Harris said drug use on both sides of the border has become prevalent and has led to a 25% rise in the price of cocaine.

The petrol bomb and brick-throwing incidents happened in the Bangor and Newtownards area on Tuesday night.

The PSNI’s organised crime unit conducted 10 searches in Antrim and Armagh on Wednesday and Thursday.

While no drugs were discovered at the garda's home, enough potential evidence was found to allegedly link him to criminals involved in drug trafficking
