JD Steps Dance School presents its End of Year Showcase at the Everyman tonight.
A spectacular production is promised, performed by the school’s talented students aged from four up, from no fewer than 7 different locations – Aghada, Conna, Castlelyons, Kildorrery, Fermoy, Rathcormac and Ballindangan. 7pm start for this one, and tickets are going like hot cakes!
Neil Delamere is sold out tomorrow night, but they have managed to get him back on September 25, so try for that one quickly.
After a sold-out performance last year, David Nihill, winner of the prestigious San Francisco Comedy Competition, returns to The Everyman this Saturday with his brand-new show, Taking Tangents. His show draws on his wide travel experiences.
On Sunday, ACA Performing Arts Academy presents Fusion, an exciting blend of creativity, passion and performance, bringing together all students from the Baby Bop Club right through to adults, in a vibrant production. Shows at 12.30pm and 5.30pm.
If you’re concerned about paying the bills (and who isn’t?), head to the Everyman next Wednesday to hear tips and tricks from expert Eoin McGee in How To Tackle Your Finances.
And on Thursday, May 28, it’s that most worthwhile event, Jokes For Stroke, the annual fundraiser from Cork Stroke Support. Chris Kent has brought together a bundle of comedy legends including Ross Browne, Andrew Ryan, Cornelius O’Sullivan, Roger O’Sullivan, Sinead Quinlan, Breda Hegarty, Paul Crowley, Aaron McCarthy and Mannadh.

There are only a few tickets left for Applause 2026, the end of year show from the Montfort College of Performing Arts, which runs at the Opera House from tomorrow until Sunday. This song and dance extravaganza will feature more than 1,500 students from all over our city and county, with performances at different times, so check it online or with the box office.
And next week, Tuesday-Thursday, one to delight the younger theatregoers, Peppa Pig’s Big Family Show, again at various times, morning and afternoon.
