THE Opera House has revealed details of its upcoming premiere of Summer Revels! which will be a big attraction in July and August.
“Yes, excitement is certainly building now,” says CEO, Eibhlin Gleeson. “This will be a vibrant, colourful show full of comedy, music, dance and laughter - all that you would expect from us!”
With a nod to the legendary Summer Revels that lit up the theatre in the ’70s and ’80s, this new script will follow the hilarious and haphazard characters as they perform their show-within-a-show against all the odds.
We will keep you well posted in the weeks ahead on this big one, but for now, take note that previews will begin on July 24, with the opening night July 27, and a run right through to August 11.
In the meantime, it’s the last chance for smallies to enjoy Peppa Pig’s Fun Day Out at the Opera House - 10am, 1pm and 4pm today.

Flook is at the Triskel tonight at 8pm as well as Baltimore Fiddle fair tomorrow at 8.30pm. For this tour, they have expanded their line-up, inviting Scottish fiddle and viola player Patsy Reid to bring her creative genius to the mix.
Taking inspiration from their roots in the Irish and English traditions, Flook have an enviable trademark sound, weaving and spinning traditionally rooted tunes over precise acoustic grooves, with a rare blend of fiery technical brilliance, delicate ensemble interaction and a bold, adventurous musical imagination.
Their most recent album. Ancora, released in 2019 to critical acclaim and nominated for BBC Folk Album of the Year, demonstrates that Flook still hold fast to their reputation as major musical innovators. Don’t miss this opportunity to hear their ground-breaking, energetic and electrifying music.
