The Sound Of Music, Cork Opera House, €35-50, 2pm & 7pm: The musical is wowing Cork crowds, and the 2pm performance is sold out. Also running 1pm & 6pm Sunday. The show ends on August 23.

4.48 Psychosis, Cork Arts Theatre, €24, 2.30pm & 8pm: First staged at The Royal Court in London in 2000, this is famous for having no explicit characters or stage directions, and hence every production is uniquely the vision of the director - in this case, Tom Creed. The theme is one of clinical depression, and how best to deal with it. Final performances.

Va Va Voom!, Crane Lane Theatre, Cork city, free, 9pm: A high energy outfit from Cork, playing an eclectic mix of rock, funk, and soul with liberal dollops of nostalgia from the ’80s/’90s kids generation.

Ms. DSF, Cyprus Avenue, Cork city, €25, 11pm: The award-winning international DJ, actress and all-round entertainment powerhouse brings her explosive GET ME LIT party to Cyprus Avenue for a huge night of hip hop, R&B, Afrobeats, dance hall and global club anthems.

Hermitage Green, Sea Church, Ballycotton, €30, 8pm: The band celebrate 15 years. Catch the Sea Church Express bus and have dinner too. See seachurch.ie. Also Sunday.

The Cork City Organ Group, Crane Lane Theatre, free, 11.30pm: The group perform classics from the jazz organ era, as well as funk infusions and psychedelia
