The Electric Ireland Minor Team of the Year features Lexi Manley, Aghabullogue, who had a superb season for Cork.

She was one of the Rebels’ most consistent performers across the campaign and showed her accuracy throughout.

The Electric Ireland Minor Player of the Year went to Emily Phelan of Kilkenny. The talented forward contributed to her team’s success throughout the season with scores coming at crucial times, including a Player of the Match performance in the final with six points from play.

Aisleen Healy (Galway), Ona Kennedy (Kilkenny), Ciara Cahill (Tipperary);

Abbie Horgan (Tipperary), Lexi Manley (Cork), Holly Ryan (Kilkenny); 

Emily Phelan (Kilkenny), Mary Brigid Cosgrove (Galway), Amy O’Shea (Kilkenny).

U16:

The juvenile county board are continuing with their league competitions with the Under 16 Premier 1 semi-final recently where Milford overcame Blarney in a close contest as they edged it on a 3-10 to 2-11 scoreline to set up a final meeting against Inniscarra.

Ballinhassig took the U16 A league title as they overcame Fermoy with four points to spare, 2-10 to 1-9.

In the U16 P2 final, Mallow had a victory over Ballincollig.

Bishopstown and Bride Rovers played out an exciting U16 B final where the Town won with four points to spare after a game played in glorious sunshine in Castle Road.

MINOR:

The opening round of the SE Systems Minor Championships got underway recently but many clubs were tight for numbers with families on holidays.

In Premier 1, Barryroe and Aghabullogue played out a close game with Aghabullogue edging it with two points to spare. 

Douglas had a victory over Ballincollig, and Inniscarra overcame Sarsfields, to get their campaigns off to a good start.

In Premier 2, Cloughduv overcame Ballinhassig’s, St Catherine’s defeated Kilbrittain/Timoleague, St Finbarrs beat St Fanahan’s, with a point to spare in a close contest, and it was level at the full-time whistle between Clonakilty and Ballyhea while Killeagh had a victory over Midleton.

In the SE Systems Minor A Championship, Milford had a goal to spare as they overcame Charlevile, Carrigaline defeated Nemo Ranges, Glen Rovers had a win over Newcestown while Laochra Óg overcame Youghal. Erins Own had two points to spare in a close game with Inniscarra's second team.

At Minor B level, Valley Rovers defeated Ballinascarthy, Dungourney had a two-point win over Brian Dillon’s, Castlemartyr defeated Kinsale, Fermoy recorded a win over Mallow, and Bandon defeated Bride Rovers.

The opening rounds of the SE Systems Minor C Championship saw Cobh record a victory over Crosshaven, Watergrashill defeated Grenagh, Enniskeane had a win over Passage West, Rockbán overcame Na Piarsaigh and Tracton defeated Aghada.
