Aghabullogue look to keep good times rolling as they aim to book Munster final spot

Aghabullogue’s Munster journey continues this weekend when they face an amalgamation of three clubs from Limerick.
The Muskerry men will meet Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan in the AIB Munster Club IFC semi-final on Sunday at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh (1pm).
Aghabullogue will have the advantage in the sense that they have played a game in this competition already. It wasn’t pretty two weeks ago in the quarter-final against Thurles Sarsfields away from home.
At the end of the day, it was all about winning the game and that’s what the Coachford-based outfit did, which was the most important thing. They won on a scoreline of 0-20 to 0-15.
While they do have a Munster game under their belt, which was played on the same day that Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan won their championship in Limerick, Aghabullogue have been hurling since.

They completed a remarkable second double in three seasons after beating Bandon in the Co-Op SuperStores IAHC final last Sunday at SuperValu Páirc Uí Chaoimh.
They would have no doubt celebrated for a couple of days and rightly so after such a great achievement.
Aghabullogue will switch codes again and the focus is now on reaching a second provincial football decider in their history.
Back in 2004, they got to the junior final where they lost to Finuge of Kerry.
The team in green and white will face a difficult test this weekend. Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan sealed their return to the senior ranks in Limerick following relegation in 2024 with a 2-15 to 2-7 victory over St Senan’s.
Limerick star Danny Neville would be Askeaton-Ballysteen-Kilcornan’s main forward, but Joey Rushe is dangerous. He scored 1-6 in the decider a fortnight ago.

Aghabullogue though will be confident that they will have enough to get over the line. They will always back themselves no matter what the situation is.
They have a formidable forward line with the likes of John Corkery, Aaron O’Sullivan, Matthew Bradley and Luke Casey around.
If Aghabullogue do record another win on Sunday, they will take on either An Ghaeltacht or Corofin in the final.
