Bride Rovers produced a stunning second-half comeback to stun champions Killeagh in Ballynoe on Sunday afternoon in the East Cork Oil JAHC.

Trailing 0-9 to 0-6 at half time, Bride Rovers outscored their opponents 1-10 to 0-7 in the second half to secure a thrilling win.

Magnificent performance by Shaux Knox, the number fifteen gave a superb performance in helping his side reach the knockout phase.

Killeagh, they were never at the races wasteful in procession, wayward shooting compared to their opponents who were more hungry and winning the dirty ball.

Killeagh started brightly, with Dan Walsh converting an early free.

Adam Hayes restored parity for Bride Rovers on seven minutes.

Knox put the Rovers ahead, his first from a sideline cut.

The sides were level again for a second time when Andy Leahy raised white, Hayes restored the Rovers lead 0-3 to 0-2 after eleven minutes.

They moved two clear when Dan Dooley won the turnover and set over a beauty from long distance.

Killeagh hit back with six unanswered points on the bounce, giving them a 0-8 to 0-4 ahead with four minutes of the half to play.

The remainder saw the Rovers outscore their opponents 0-2 to 0-1 with Killeagh taking a 0-9 to 0-6 lead with them at the break.

The second half saw Bride Rovers emerge with a newfound belief, hunting and chasing every ball as if their lives depended on it.

Dooley and Hayes reduced the margin within two minutes of the restart.

Then, Josh Ahern's darting solo run resulted in the only goal of the game, firing past Fionn Murphy.

Knox added to the scoreboard with his second sideline cut, putting Bride Rovers ahead 1-9 to 0-9.

Killeagh hit back through a Walsh free, but Bride Rovers responded every time, with Knox and Ahern increasing the advantage.

As the clock ticked down, Bride Rovers' lead seemed insurmountable. 

Killeagh pushed hard, reducing the margin to three points.

Dan Landers' last-gasp free was superbly saved by Roanan O'Riordan, securing a remarkable win for Bride Rovers.
