THE great and the good of Cork GAA were honoured at the 2023 Reardens All-Star night at Reardens Bar last Friday.
60 players from four championships were awarded on what was an enjoyable night with a large crowd present.

Castlehaven won the Bon Secours Hospital Premier SFC, and they had eight players rewarded for their first county title triumph in ten years.
Beaten finalists Nemo Rangers had four while Duhallow, St Finbarr’s and Ballincollig had a player apiece.

Sarsfields were another club that ended a long drought as they won the Co-Op SuperStores Premier SHC ending a nine-year wait for county glory.
Last year’s hurling team featured representation from six different clubs. Sars had six players, runners-up Midleton with four, St Finbarr’s had two included while Charleville, Newtownshandrum and Kanturk all had one each.
Mourneabbey reigned supreme once again as they claimed the LGFA senior championship crown.
They have five on the All-Star team and there are also five from beaten finalists Éire Óg. Aghada have three in the 15 and two from St Val’s.

Sarsfields won the SE Systems senior camogie championship title. They have four players on the team, three each from Cloughduv and St Catherine’s, two apiece from Seandún, who lost the final, and Courcey Rovers and one from St Finbarr’s.
Reardens Group general manager John Styles was thrilled that the bar was once again able to honour and pay tribute to Cork's GAA club players.

"This All-Star night is very important to us here in Reardens Bar. We are known as the home of the GAA in Cork and our GAA customers are very important to us.

"It's great we can give back to them in this way. These awards are highly sought after, and the turnout also reflects how appreciative the players are to get one."
Reardens Group owner Margaret Kenneally was present on the night to present some of the medals to the various winners.
"As a business we are thrilled that we can run this All-Star night each year,” Margaret said.
“These awards have become part of the GAA season each year in Cork, and we know how important winning one is to the players.
"We value the GAA business we get in this bar and to be able to give back to the GAA community on a regular basis is very important to us here.
"I would like to congratulate all the 60 winners and we look forward to seeing them on the pitch in 2024."
Head of Security Fintan Edmonds is the public face of Reardens. He is the first point of contact for customers and well known to all the GAA teams in Cork at this stage.
"These awards are very well received by the players. I meet them on a regular basis. This award night just confirms what everyone knows, Reardens Bar is the home of the GAA in Cork." Edmonds said.
