Republic of Ireland head coach Heimir Hallgrimsson has included seven new faces in his squad for an upcoming training squad in Spain.

There are first call-ups for Benfica's 18-year-old forward Jaden Umeh, Jack Moylan of Lincoln City, and Leyton Orient goalkeeper Killian Cahill.

Hallgrimsson has also confirmed that Hibernian's Owen Elding has committed to playing for Ireland, despite reported interest from England.

Players involved in the English Football League play-offs and other major European leagues haven't been considered - but could return for matches against Qatar and Canada.

Umeh joined the Portuguese giants at 16 from Cork City after becoming the club’s youngest ever debutant at just 15 years and 230 days in November 2023.
