Horizons Cork, formerly known as the Cope Foundation, is looking to recruit a number of new staff members with a planned recruitment open day taking place this month.

The organisation, dedicated to empowering people with intellectual disabilities and additional needs, will host the event at the Imperial Hotel on November 11 from 11.30am to 5.30pm.

Horizons is looking to hire support workers, care assistants, social care workers, social care leaders, and nurses, to meet the growing demand for its services.

Lorraine Egan, CEO of Horizons, said the organisation is expanding to meet the need for new services across Cork city and county.

“There is an unprecedented demand for our services as people need new services and as people’s needs change over their lifetime,” said Ms Egan.

“We are seeking dedicated, passionate staff who are seeking a role where they can make a real difference in people’s lives, and contribute to a world where all people are supported to achieve their dreams.

“For those new to Cork, it is a wonderful way to become embedded in local communities.”
