"Rather unsettled" weather is expected this week, as Met Éireann says highest temperatures could reach up to 24C.
According to the forecaster, this week will be rainy or showery, and could even turn thundery.
This Monday, mist and fog will clear away quickly to leave a dry morning with sunny spells, turning hazy at times.
It will turn cloudier in the southwest and west during the afternoon and evening with scattered light showers developing.
Highest temperatures will be around 18C to 22C or 23C in light, occasionally moderate east or southeast winds.
Met Éireann said temperatures will not fall below 10C to 15C this evening, with light, occasionally moderate easterly breezes.
Motorists have been warned to allocate extra time for their commute as several road closures and traffic restrictions are to take place in Cork this Monday.
St Finbarr's Road will close between Noonan Road and Bandon Road from 7.30am to 6pm running through Tuesday, August 25.
Meanwhile, Ardfoyle Avenue and Crescent will close between Blackrock Road and Park Avenue from 7am to 7pm, running through August 31.
Tuesday will be rather cloudy with limited sunny spells.
It will be dry for many at first with well scattered showers.
From mid-afternoon, showery outbreaks of rain will push up from the south, reaching the north and northwest in the late evening or early night. Highest temperatures of 18C to 23C in light to moderate easterly winds.
Meanwhile, Wednesday will see mix of cloud and sunny spells with showers or longer spells of rain, heavy at times with thunderstorms and possible surface flooding. Highest temperatures will be of 19C to 23C or 24C in light to moderate east or southeast winds.
Thursday is expected to be dry but cloudy.
Rain expected in the south and southeast will extend northwestwards to most areas through the day, with thunderstorms and surface flooding possible. Highest temperatures will reach between 17C and 21C in mostly light easterly or variable winds.
Meanwhile, the weekend is expected to be uncertain, with likely further rain or showers at times but drier intervals too.
The current national outlook says it will turn a little cooler with highest temperatures generally in the mid to high teens.
