Bat fans invited to take part in Ballincollig walk 'n' talk about our nocturnal creatures 

Guides will lead the way, providing insight into the behaviour and habitats of bats, and demonstrating the use of bat detectors.

With Heritage Week running this week, the Cork Biodiversity Hub is set to host an event exploring the nocturnal world of bats on Wednesday at the Regional Park in Ballincollig.
Guides will lead the way, providing insight into the behaviour and habitats of bats, and demonstrating the use of bat detectors.

Those attending are reminded to bring comfortable shoes, a spare flashlight, warm clothes and a sense of adventure.

Booking is essential, as places are limited. All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

This event has been organised through collaboration between Cork City Biodiversity Officers, Cork Biodiversity Hub and Bat Conservation Ireland and supported through the Heritage Council via Ceangal and the Local Biodiversity Officer Programme; and NPWS via the Local Biodiversity Action Fund.
