Gardaí attended the scene at approximately 6.30pm on Tuesday, where a woman in her 20s was found to have suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

A man in his 30s has been charged in connection with a stabbing incident involving a woman in Cork city earlier this week.

The man, who was arrested after the incident at Churchyard Lane in Ballinlough on Tuesday, is due to appear before Cork City District Court on Thursday morning.

Gardaí attended the scene at approximately 6.30pm on Tuesday, where a woman in her 20s was found to have suffered injuries believed to be non-life-threatening.

She was taken to hospital for treatment.

The man was subsequently arrested and detained at a garda station in Cork city.

A spokesperson for An Garda Síochána said no further information was available in relation to the investigation.
