Met Éireann has reduced the duration of its status yellow rain warning for Cork and Kerry, bringing hope to concertgoers on Leeside ahead of a busy weekend of live music.

Originally issued on Wednesday, the warning was updated on Thursday morning, with three hours removed from the original warning period.

The warning will come into effect at 9pm on Thursday and remain in place until 9am on Friday.

On Friday, Kodaline will perform at Musgrave Park (Virgin Media Park), while Bell X1 will play Live at the Marquee. On Saturday, Zach Bryan will take to the stage at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, while CMAT performs at Musgrave Park.

While Thursday night will be cloudy with heavy rain at times, conditions will be generally mild and humid, with lowest temperatures of between 12C and 15C.

Light to moderate southerly winds are also expected.

There will be another wet start on Friday, with outbreaks of rain across the country.

During the late morning and afternoon, rain will gradually clear eastwards, with the possibility of heavy showers developing from the west.

Saturday is expected to be largely dry, with bright or sunny spells.

Temperatures will reach between 15C and 19C, with light to moderate west to southwesterly winds.

Saturday night will also be dry, with clear spells at first before cloud increases from the south overnight.

Lowest temperatures will range between 7C and 10C, with light variable breezes.

On Sunday, cloud, rain and drizzle will move northwards, with rainfall mainly affecting western coastal counties.

Conditions are expected to remain drier further east, with some brighter intervals possible.
