Uisce Éireann said there will be a traffic management plan in place for the duration of the works

Parts of Cork city’s northside may suffer overnight water supply disruptions this week, Uisce Éireann has warned.

The water utility company said essential works are scheduled to begin at 8pm on Thursday night, running until 2am the following morning, April 17.

Uisce Éireann warned that the works, which are part of its National Leakage Reduction Programme, are likely to cause some disruption to local water supplies in the Glen and surrounding areas.

According to the company, the works may cause overnight supply disruptions to Mount Farran, Rathmore Rd, Rathmore Park, Goldsmith's Avenue, Sarsfield's Terrace, Audley Square, Lansdowne Ct, Old Youghal Rd, Richmond Hill, Blackpool, and surrounding areas in Cork city.

There will be a traffic management plan in place for the duration of the works.

Uisce Éireann said it recommended that the public should allow two to three hours after the estimated restoration time for water supply to fully return.

To access updates on these works, the public is invited to visit the Uisce Éireann website, water.ie, and enter in the search bar the reference: CCI00109976.
